About the Program
The Master of Professional Accounting is designed for individuals working toward a career managing or directing the financial function of an organization. The comprehensive program contains a seven course core that creates a broad foundation in accounting, tax, and audit. Courses in finance, law, leadership, and ethics complete the program core and provide a knowledge base for decision making crucial for successful businesses. Complementing the core are a choice of two of five possible depth blocks. Each bock is designed to provide in-depth working knowledge of a specific area that will enable you to function productively in the workplace. Students select the two depth areas that align with their interests and job prospects. Completion of the program provides the ground work for siting for the CPA exam and CMA exam as well as other standardized exams. Students should consult the State Board of Accountancy in the state where they plan on taking the exam for your state’s specific requirements.
